agreed, but then I like the whole later cast much better..

I only was one episode of cinema titanic, and it wasn't very good IMO.

Would either of you go and see either rifftrax, or cinema titnaic live? I was thinking of picking up the Live DVD off riffrax site, just too see what it is like.

i have 2 CT's & i'm not overly impressed by either, but like yourself, i'm more a mike fan than joel. also, i prefer bill over Trace, so i'd definately be all over a live Rifftrax, but i'm content with just watching what i get.
also, i'm very socially awkward, so i don't go many places that don't have a bar. or a wine cellar. or a 1/2 bottle of Thunderbird laying in the gutter.
i hate crowds. it feels like im dying.

aw that made me sad, I had no idea you had any social anxiety, you seem like the most outgoing out of all of us at the board here...

I don't go to bars, but I love going to shows, whether they be comedy, concert, screening, opera, play or musical.. I hate standing in lobbies waiting, but once i'm in it's all good, i'm always relaxed and ready to enjoy the show...

awww no need for sadness. i used to be totally fucked up & wouldnt leave my apt. i'm much better now. i can do most places, but i still spend a great deal of time @ home. concerts are usually ok, i've only had to leave 1 or 2 & that more than likely involved too many drugs (made chris bail on Fugazi in 94 cause we were trippin balls & i couldnt deal) but sometimes i just cant be around people. cant go grocery shopping, cant see anyone, can't talk on phone.
bars are always ok. drinking is the only time i can relax. (obviously, i'm sloth-like in my enjoyment of relaxation) lol

i was checking out the mst3kinfo.com site & they had a little questionairre thingy where you had to pick your top 10 joel & mike eps.
(the 20 essentials!)
scrolling thru the list, i realized that i have so little of the first few seasons.
i don't even think my collection starts until Season 3....wait. no it starts with KTMA, i just don't enjoy them until Season 3.

regardless. it was more difficult coming up with 10 joel eps than i thought... & it came up between chris & i last night, he prefers joel over mike.
i always hated getting into that debate, to me it was futile, like argento/fulci. they both bring something different to the table, so wtf?
(to me the movies watched are very different ON TOP of the fact that their styles/humor are as well)

anyway. i pose the question back to you guys. & here's my list. (although coming up with ONLY 10 mike eps was the hardest thing i've had to do in awhile)

Joel:

The Corpse Vanishes
Women of the Prehistoric Planet
Pod People - To me, this is the quintessential Joel episode, solid riffing from start to finish, even the invention exchange (which i don't give a rats ass about) was good....& i don't think it hurts that it was J. Piquer Simon directing this little opus.
Viking Women vs. The Sea Serpent
The Giant Gila Monster
Bride of the Monster
Warrior of the Lost World
Eegah!
Gunslinger
Mitchell - Joel's farewell & it was the perfect episode. fucking priceless.

Mike:
The Final Sacrifice
The Thing That Couldn't Die
Giant Spider Invasion
Parts: The Clonus Horror
Horror of Party Beach
Agent for H.A.R.M.
The Legend of Boggy Creek 2
DevilFish
Squirm
PumaMan

to me all of the mike eps listed are solid as the day is long. fave for the moment has to be Devil Fish though.
"The director's vision: lots of shots of things." nyuck nyuck nyuck.
