I was going to post this in the Twin Peaks thread but I guess this is much more appropriate so I'll just come out and say it here. Fuck Lynch. Sick of him. Sick of his movies. Sick of his pretentious fans. Sick of the term "Lynchian". So fuck him and his movies.

anything that gains notoriety or acclaim or has even a small buzz fluttering around...ppl feel the need to attach themselves to it...like they fucking invented it, like they were there the whole time...because ppl are weak & need to succumb to their fragile fucking egos.

maybe it's not your cup of tea...maybe you just don't like it....& that's certainly more than alright....but i'd be willing to bet that if all the bs wasn't attached to it, you'd enjoy his films far more.

Well first of all noms, no, I don't have any goddamn sense or taste.  lol

Secondly, I like Lynch's films up until Lost Highway. After that, I have no interest. In his early career, yeah, he was an artist with stuff like his short films and Eraserhead. But now, and I truly believe this, everything he has done after Lost Highway has been nothing more than elaborate hoax on his part. To see how much bullshit he can throw out there to see if and how long people will continue to call him a genius.

And yes, I can certainly blame him for his legion of mindless DB followers. Not the people who simply enjoy his work. No, I'm talking about the assholes who thrive on the chance to say, "well you just don't get it" if you don't worship the man. Not to mention it's his damn fault those people exist in the first place.
