I even paged your goofy ass...

I guess you were trying to get ahold of me again last night. I had no intentions of playing as I was planning on a game of Scene It! with Nancy then watch a couple of movies. Once again I had no clue you were trying to get ahold of me.

I'll be on later tonight after 10:00 or so. If you want some orientation of CoD4 let me know. My rates are reasonable.

Excuses, excuses. Tonight's unlikely, but me and my Dirka cannon will catch up with you at some point.

I got my copy of Super Castlevania 4 for the SNES today when I got home from my parents and it is quite fun, although dreadfully easy. I got to Dracula's castle in an hour or so and finally died. Damn pitfalls. Anyway, I forsee defeating it sometime tomorrow.

Mike Tyson's Punch Out and finally, after 20+ years I have beaten Mike Tyson. The secret was learning how to do the quick dodge. It happened once in a while and I never knew why. I figured it was just some game flaw, but after I got it, I could take advantage of his tells instead of having to predict them. Bam, in the face bitch!

Oh yeah, Super Castlevania 4 gets hella a lot harder once you enter Dracula's Castle.

I never had a chance to play the Tyson variation of Punch Out. Although I did beat Sandman many years ago. Definately a crowning achievment in my life.

I am now enduring the latest Soldier of Fortune (the subtitle evades me) and I'm glad that I spent no more than $5.00 for a rental as opposed to buying it which I briefly considered.

I guess I've been highly spoiled after playing Call of Duty 4 as both games are very similar in universe but SoF maintains little subtelty in enviroment. The graphics are on par with later gen games from the original Xbox. The controls are very floaty and you barely feel connected to the soldier.

The only mildly redeeming factor of course is the gratuitous gore and splatter which is pretty much the sole reason these games get any attention as I recall the prior iterations being shitty as well. Shoot a guy in the chest a few times with your standard AK-47 and watch him explode into thousands of itty bitty peices as if you've shoved dynamite down his throat. Shoot someone in their left arm and watch their left leg fly hundreds of meters away from them as they jump around attempting to shoot at you...kind of like the skit in Monty Python and the Holy Grail now that I think of it...and this game has very little outside of cheap novelty.

An example of the violence. It actually looks half-decent judging from the gore trailer. Slick bastards, give no indication of slow-down either, which is plenty let me assure you.

Resident Evil 4 on the Wii. We are almost finished with it!

Actually I'm not playing it, Shadi is, but I'm helping! I heard a lot from people saying that the game was scary as fuck, and honestly I've yelled out a few times...not in a scared way, but in a, "OH MY FUCKING GOD RUN!" way.

Resident Evil is brilliant, isn't it? Ever since I first played it back in 1996 or so, it has never failed to make me jump and maintain that subtle sense of dread throughout the adventure. I can't wait for Resident Evil 5 on the 360 hopefully coming out on the 4th quarter of this year.

Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles. Finally a fun two player game for the Wii!

I am still playing The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass on my DS.

Still tinkering around with Lost Odyssey. Been playing for over 2 hours and have yet to make it to my first mission.

I'm playing a lot of NHL 2K8, especially online. Getting my ass handed to me left and right, but I'm gradually getting better.

I bought it just to be able to compete with a friend of mine here in town, but now I'm starting to enjoy it--not just the gameplay, but the ownership/managerial aspect of it as well.
