Oh, it's actually good? I was turned off by the weird looking dice for some reason.

Yeah, it's a hell of a lot of fun and just as addictive as the original board game. They have a revised and revamped version included, but I never tried it. Going to stick with the original format for a bit. As for the dice, well, there is an "quick attack" option where the dice are thrown in the background and never seen.

I'll have to download the demo as well... I wasn't sure if the game was just completely revised or the original was included.

I believe that I'm almost finished with the main story of Red Dead Redemption.

Without spoiling anything... I'm in the 3rd Act.  4-5 missions after finishing the Blackwater missions.

Still fiddling around with Risk.
And let me tell you, despite the years and years of shit and frustration I've put up with online gaming, nothing compares to how fucking shitty it is to jump out of a game of Risk after investing 3+ hours on a single game. Just because I get a bit of an edge, more often than not some fucktard will simply quit. I still get the win and all, but it's the principle of the matter.

Ya... there's nothing like finishing a game that took a lot of time and effort.  I hate it when people drop themselves from games.

The problem with board games such as Risk and Monopoly. Is it does get to a point where you realize that you will lose. Then you see the next couple of hours ahead of you, as a waste of time.

It sucks people will jump out of the game so much, but I can see why...

Is there any benefit to being a certain faction? do you have a preference?

Well, with Risk, when you know you're going to lose, you're going to lose within the next couple minutes...not the next couple of hours. There were times when I had a single continent, while the opponent had the 5 others, and I still prevailed. People seem to quit when I swoop in on one of their continents, despite the game being very equal at that point. Or, worse yet, when they go through a bad string of dice rolls, screaming "fuck you, you fucking fuck" into the mic, and drop out...despite having a healthy lead over me.
There are no factions or benefits. You just choose a color to relegate to yourself to symbolize your destruction of the world.

I'd play with you, but your inability to configure a router prevents such miracles.
