Funny, I recall doing a search over a year ago for the users that typed up cunt most often. Was it our beloved Kat that won that one? This is before CUNT became an even more widespread sensation.

If the contest is in August you can already count me out since I'll be in Southeast Asia for 2 weeks. August 8-23rd. Then I have some sort of presentation to give the week I get back. Uhh, I guess just count me out altogether if the contest is end of July/beginning of August. Shadi's birthday is July 23rd and we're renting some house on the beach for the weekend.

Well, I'm thinking this will be postponed for a bit. We have no idea for a prize (the Gods--ahem--Admins haven't even discussed anything regarding this), nor are we really sure what the contest will entail. Possibly the scavenger hunt. Personally, I'm going to be very busy in the upcoming weeks, so I'm not going to be able to devote much time here and to conduct a contest.
Expect an announcement sometime in October. We're hoping by the announcement, more members will bitch off and leave.

how about making a contest where we all have to vote for the winner? OR
on other boards we had situations where we would take turns playing 'host' of the contest....you come up with the idea for the contest..set up rules, supply the prize & pick the winner. this is nice cause it really mixes it up & allows everyone to take a stab at it...eve mods can play too. yay!
we're all kinda part of a big dysfunctional family...i mean..i dont see any reason why we wouldnt all be willing to accept the responsibility of playing host....there's no reason it has to be a mod-only thing.
& it's not like the prizes have to be something insane...they could be as simple as a few burnt dvd's, dirty panties (i'm lookin at you, Digi!), a vial of cum, broken barbies, original artwork, handmade crafts, a few books, psychotic manifesto, weapons, something regional, porn, dead animals, a bottle of lube & a catcher or for the the big time gamblers...the dreaded MYSTERY PRIZE?! who knows what evil lurks in a plain brown box??......the options are truly endless.

re: scavenger hunt: we don't have to purchase items! i always knew of them to be in terms of readily available, easily accessible things like....a billboard, a lunchbox, a red car. stupid shit....but you could tie it into a horror theme...taking pics of a cemetery, a dead animal, a bloody knife. whatever....we talked about doing it in terms of sending pkgs, but just taking pics of listed items is just as good & way fuckin cheaper.

You could continue to use an objective contest... like "Name the Movie" from a variety of pics (like the last contest).  But you could just adjust it so that the better you are at naming pics, the better chance you have of winning the prize(s).  To be more specific of an example... 10 pics are put up and you get your name put into the drawing for a prize (or prizes) for each pic you name correctly.  So... I may only get 2-3 pics correctly, but I still have a chance to win.  While other people who get 7-8 correct, would have an even better chance to win.
