You'll dig it, man. There is some explicit scenes that some may consider "gay", but seeing as you're such a rampant fan of Waters I don't think it will disturb you too much.

Yeah, hardcore and bareback is questionably "gay." I love how you use the quotation marks there. What were  you trying to get at?

Lemme say this - or rather, ask this:

Do you guys think "gay" when you read my posts? I mean, does it seem to define me? I doubt it, but just asking. Kev called it out because he knows the mind of a gay mind. That's the only way you can call anything out - if you've lived/live it.

Off-topic.

This movie is just too outrageous. Funny, I saw the chick  in Sundown: The Vampire in Retreat, soon later. I was like " Is that?! This is what she's become?" She does trash superbly. The bathing scene is chucklrific. And the story behind the pickled head / locusts. "I pickled him good. He was like that when he died." something like that.

Watching a man masturbate for 4 full minutes before he pops his load does seem a touch gay for me as a heterosexual viewer. If someone were to walk in as I was watching this scene, what would they think? Hence "gay".

I was surprised when you revealed you were indeed gay. Maybe my gaydar is a touch off-kilter, but personally, you don't exactly ooze the gay archetype...at least as far as the digital world is concerned.

Hey, now. Is this gonna be a point and laugh at what we enjoy in music? Morrissey plays with words in a way I've never known. At least I can make out what he's sayin.'

there is no problem with morrisey writing gay/emo music, just realize it for what it is an move on.

I listen to the forgs, and it does not get much more gay then that.. The music you listen to does not define who you are.

Well, "gay," to me, implies direct sexual tones of homo eroticism, in this context.

"emo" ... It's just annoying as everyone slaps "emo" onto anything in touch with its own feelings(however dark they may be). His voice may sound glum, but the mood is not always the case.
You of all people, I wouldn't expect such an over-generalization from. You aren't familiar with Morrissey and don't know the bright side to his music. That's all.

... gay/emo was just ignorant, joking or not, Ghostea. : confetti:

awwwwww it's just that adam has a masculine side & he doesn't show it very often. he has to take it out & dust it off every once in awhile......i'm sure he means no disrespect.

'tis the folly of man.

Don't know what's going on with the major release posted by Carlos, but thanks to Duane I caught wind that Synapse is releasing Thundercrack! in 2010 to coincide with its 35th anniversary. Here's the info:

THUNDERCRACK! Coming from Synapse Films in 2010!

Quote
Synapse Films announces today the start of a high-definition transfer and extensive digital restoration on the classic 1975 16mm cult-horror film THUNDERCRACK!, directed by the late Curt McDowell. The film will be unleashed to coincide with the film’s 35th Anniversary in 2010.

“THUNDERCRACK! is a great film, and we are working with the director’s sister, and THUNDERCRACK! Actress, Melinda McDowell to make sure the film is presented correctly, in exactly the way Curt would’ve wanted it released,” says Donald May, Jr., President of Synapse Films. “Synapse will be releasing the film in it’s restored, longer form, using the one and only original 16mm film print of the longer version that still exists on the planet. And, we’re loading it with extras, of course!”

This black and white underground cult horror film about a group of people who meet a mysterious woman at her foreboding home on one dark and stormy night, is a highly controversial mix of horror, explicit sex and amazing stylized photography. To some, it defies description. To many, it’s the greatest midnight movie ever made. What’s it about, exactly? Fox News could only describe it as “a horror porn film.” That’s not quite right, of course, but to give too much away would spoil the many surprises that await the viewer. “If you’ve never seen it, you’ve missed out on one of the strangest, most entertaining films ever made,” says Synapse Films CEO, Jerry Chandler. “THUNDERCRACK! is a film we’ve pursued for years and we’re excited to be given the opportunity to release it in it’s proper form.”

Actress Melinda McDowell couldn’t be happier with her choice of Synapse Films to bring this film to home video. “When I went looking for a home video distributor for THUNDERCRACK!, everyone told me Synapse Films should do the project. I’d sampled some of their previous work and was stunned at the video quality of their releases. Based on their transfers, and willingness to work closely with the filmmakers, I knew they were the best choice,” she explains. “Don came out to San Francisco for a visit and spent a week with me going through Curt’s archives. We found some amazing material! We found some real treasures that only Curt and the crew had seen 35 years ago. Our longer version of the film will require extensive restoration, but Synapse Films is up to the task. We’ll be honoring Curt with the ultimate, most beautiful presentation possible.”

I'm fucking stoked.
