I wanted to start this up, between me and Katy we buy many more books then we do films.
The Collection 1&2 By Hideshi Hino - Really enjoy this manga author/artist, very violent, over the top tales of madness
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Vol. 4 to 9 - Action/horror series, silly but fun
Grand-Giugnol: The French Theater of Horror - Lots of info on grand giugnol theater, and even has several translated plays
Ass Goblins of Auschwitz by Cameron Pierce - couldn't resist
Image of the Beast by Philip Jose Farmer - One of the first novels to describe graphic sex between men/women and aliens.

Bought Ham on Rye by Bukowski when I went on my little amazon shopping spree there. Although it's going to be awhile before I get to it.

I normally only buy books that I am going to immediately read, so my responses here wouldn't be much different than those in the Currently Reading thread.

I always say i'm a fan of horror fiction but I have not really expanded outside of my favorite authors for the last couple years.
So i decided to blind buy and pick up:
Richard Laymon: The Woods are Dark
Tim Lebbon: Berserk
Conrad A Williams: Decay Inevitable..
I was familiar with the names but have not read anything by them yet, so I hope i picked decent books to give them a shot..
Started reading decay inevitable, and so far so good.

I ordered Image of the Beast by Philip Jose Farmer.. Very excited, I've been aware of this book for some time, but for some reason whenever I was purchasing books online it always seemed to slip my mind.
Reading the synopsis how can I not be excited, the edition I'm getting is put out by Creation Books, which I think some of you around here are familiar with.
Quote
Private dick Herald Childe is sent a snuff movie of his partner being hideously murdered. His pursuit of the killers leads him into a waking nightmare of sexual brutality and supernatural bestiality, as he becomes entangled with sex-starved she-ghosts, libidinous snake-women, a filthy human sow, and a she-creature who gives birth to an ectoplasmic simulacrum of Satanic child-killer Gilles de Rais.
Farmer is a well established writer in the field of science fiction, there are a few books he's done which don't get much circulation because of the extreme graphic and sexual content. I have not read any of his science fiction anthologies or stand alone books, but I think this is a better place for me to start.
