Yeah it was me...and you can all suck my slightly swollen left nut. It wasn't an amazing flick, but I always liked the idea of 30 Days of Night and thought they did a decent job adapting it. And visually...it's a beautiful film.

Wolfen -- Had high hopes for this one, but was a bit disappointed.

I guess beauty has many different interpretations. Personally, I don't find much beauty in actors in front of green-screens, pretending to be present in a very crudely drawn town comparable to that of a videogame. And, of course, the CGI'd breath to give viewers the illusion that they're very cold.

In case anyone still gives a shit, In The Folds of The Flesh gets much better after the first half hour. It's still a mess though.

i was mildly interested as it's supposed to be a sub-par giallo, per what i've read about it.
have very little space on hd, so i try to make my dl's count.
i don't think this qualifies.
thanks for update though. :)

I agree, I went in comparing it to the comic book series, and thought it was well adapted, and I also thought the cinematography was well done in certian scenes.

I know POASK also dug this flick as it was discussed not to long ago.

30 days of night? yeah absolutley. I'm so sick of the 'romantic swuave" vampire trend it was nice to see the vampires portrayed like in my opinon they would really be, blood thirsty beasts.

deadgirl... i'm still not sure how i feel about it, pretty sure i didn't like it though

Yeah...there's a shitload of stuff they could have done (or not done) to make it a better film, but the same could be said for most of the movies that have come out in the past 10-20 years. I can pick it apart and name a ton of things I didn't like about it, but overall I was entertained, I thought some of the shots were absolutely beautiful, the CGI wasn't too overdone, and the acting wasn't as bad as it could have been.

The Host - Still love this movie as much as when I first saw it in the theatres, but the CGI effects are noticeably worse upon this second viewing. So be it, all is forgiven in this instance.

I watched some Brazilian zombie gore-fest known as A Capital dos Mortos. Eh, it's pretty good for its budget. I may end the night with Daybreakers, Hotel(Bollywood zombies / Ramsay Bros), or Mangue Negro. I dunno if I can do a back-to-back Brazilian zom double feature.

As for the Host - I saw that bitch DUBBED and have never EVER watched anything dubbed again(aside from Italian-European exploitation from 70s-80s and those few HK slapstick classics). Maybe I'll try to watch it again some day....

Had no other option, eh? I was sad to see that the disc defaulted to the dubbed version when I popped it in, and I had to scroll through 3 different English tracks before I was able to find the audio-dub of its native Korean tongue. From what little I saw of the dubbed version, I don't blame you. Seemed like a completely different film.

Jungle Assault (from the director who brought the phenomenal shit-fest, Deadly Prey) higher production value, not as good. although Ted Prior really started acting with his mug in this one...
i think im addicted to AIP & awful 80's action movies.

Grotesque - meh. slow moving. linda blair kept her clothes on. points for having a main character from Hobgoblins.

Now there is a movie we can agree on...fucking loved it! I'm still looking for a decent one sheet to hang, thought the cover art was awesome.

Zombieland -- This is one of those films for me that overall is kinda meh, but a handful of scenes totally make up for all the slow stuff.
