So the 3D experience does nothing for you?

I know you think it makes film making more about effects then proper story telling, but with Jackass 3D, I know what I'm in for, I don't think I would have reason to complain that they compromised the story for 3D effects.

I've avoided 3D just because all the movies released with the 3D effect do nothing for me as movies.. This will provide some degree of entertainment, and I think I can actually convince a friend to see a movie in theaters with me, if I ask them to go see it..

Wonder if I'll see a Penis in 3d

Well, it's not even 3D...just depth perception. But, that's neither here nor there. Next year, for 2011, there is only one summer blockbuster that will not be in 3D. Or, so I hear. Too lazy to find confirmation of the fact, but it's not surprising. It's here to stay, folks! Thank fuck I barely drag myself to any major theater chain these days.
It's a very basic thought to believe that 3D cuts down a movie completely by replacing any story/character essentials with pretty images...dangling keys in front of a baby, so to speak. There are a many good movies out there that solely rely on visuals, but, 3D isn't very clever. It does do nothing for me, I suppose. Just the rickety old man who has no interest.
Jack Ass is probably one of the few flicks out there that would be appropriate for 3D...not too concerned with story arc on that one.

I'm not sure about anyone else, but I'm looking forward to this. Really enjoyed the book (although I'm not sure how it's going to translate into film--the book is essentially a handful of unconnected short stories). Plus, the inclusion of Brad Pitt doesn't bother me as it may for most around here.

I'm sure it's full of CGI shit, but I will watch it because I think Edward Furlong can be a fantastic actor when he gets a good role. And atleast it's a demon movie, god bless 'em.
